– PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CASE STUDY
Transforming an energy consultancy website into a clearer lead-generation platform.
See how website optimisation, clearer messaging, sector landing pages and an interactive energy checker helped Oxford Energy Services create a stronger foundation for visibility, engagement and enquiries.
– THE CHALLENGE
Deep expertise needed a clearer website structure.
Oxford Energy Services had strong technical expertise and an established track record, but the website did not fully explain the value of its services or guide prospective clients towards the right next step.
The aim was to improve the existing website rather than simply redesign it: strengthening its foundations, clarifying the offer and creating a more useful platform for future marketing activity.
– A PHASED WEBSITE OPTIMISATION PROJECT
Starting with the essentials, then building greater depth.
The project followed a staged approach, allowing the website to improve in practical, manageable steps rather than through one large rebuild.
NEXT LEVEL ESSENTIALS

Could your building be wasting energy without anyone noticing?
Rather than simply asking visitors to make an enquiry, we created a bespoke Building Energy Waste Checker to help organisations identify whether hidden energy waste may be affecting their buildings.
The 12-question assessment provides a practical, personalised result and requires an email address before the result is delivered, creating a useful lead-generation journey without making the tool feel like a generic form.
Could your building be wasting energy without anyone noticing?
A short guided assessment that helps businesses identify potential hidden energy waste and understand where further investigation may be worthwhile.
– THREE TARGETED VERSIONS
One core tool, adapted for three priority sectors.
Each version addressed the language, pressures and operating realities of a different audience, helping targeted LinkedIn campaigns lead to a more relevant landing-page experience.
WORKPLACES
Workplace Energy Waste Checker
For offices, headquarters and occupied business buildings where energy is one part of a wider operational role.
- Unexplained increases in energy use
- BMS schedules that look correct
- Out-of-hours consumption
- Limited time to analyse data
COMPLEX PLACES
Venue Energy Waste Checker
For theatres, museums, galleries, heritage properties and complex visitor buildings.
- Historic fabric and conservation constraints
- Collections or environmental conditions
- Performance and event schedules
- Different needs across multiple spaces
MULTI-SITE ESTATES
Retail & Customer-Facing Estates Checker
For shops, showrooms, branches and customer-facing estates where site comparison and local performance matter.
- Some sites using far more energy than others
- Estate data without time to investigate outliers
- Out-of-hours operation
- Pressure to prioritise capital across sites
The checker demonstrates how an interactive tool can educate visitors, support campaigns and create a stronger reason to engage.
– SECTOR MARKETING
Landing pages shaped around three priority audiences.
Sector-specific landing pages were developed to support focused LinkedIn campaigns and make the website more relevant to different types of commercial client.
Workplaces and offices
Messaging focused on practical energy control, operational efficiency and ongoing management.
Venues, heritage and collections
Content reflected the challenges of complex buildings, visitor comfort and sensitive environments.
Retail and customer-facing premises
Landing-page content addressed energy waste, operating costs and consistency across trading hours.
– RECENT PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS
Early traction across commercially important pages.
GA4 comparison: 6 July–4 August 2026 versus 6 June–5 July 2026.
Views of the Case Studies and Experience page also increased by 1,700%, showing growing interest in the expertise and evidence behind the service.
These are early-stage results from a newly developed website, so the percentages reflect growth from a modest starting point. They nevertheless show that visitors were beginning to reach the pages most closely connected to the business’s commercial priorities.
– WHAT THE RESULTS MEAN
A website better aligned with the way the business sells.
The project moved the website beyond a general overview of the consultancy. Visitors now have clearer routes to individual services, relevant sector information, practical evidence and a useful interactive tool.
This creates a stronger platform for search visibility, targeted campaigns and future website optimisation without requiring a complete rebuild every time the business develops a new priority.
– THE OUTCOME
A clearer consultancy website with more ways to engage.
In approximately eight implementation days spread across two months, Oxford Energy Services gained stronger website foundations, clearer commercial pages, focused sector journeys and a bespoke engagement tool.
The work demonstrates how small-business website optimisation can be delivered in phases, with each stage building on what came before.
CLIENT FEEDBACK
“Rather than simply redesigning our website, Next Level Web Growth helped us improve it in stages. Each phase added another layer of value—from clearer messaging and stronger service pages to bespoke tools that support enquiries. The website now reflects our expertise far more effectively and gives us a platform that can continue growing alongside the business.”
